- Your voice, kept. Every answer can keep its original recording alongside the written story.
- Written chapters. Your answers organised into a readable life story you review and approve.
- 2 GB for photographs, documents and video - enough for several hundred photographs. More is $20 per GB per year if you need it.
- A family tree of the people in your story, drawn as you add them.
- Contributions from family and friends, held for your approval before anything appears.
- A printable book. Build and download your memoir as a PDF whenever you like, as many times as you like.
- Private sharing. A link that lets family read the memoir and hear the recordings, with no account needed.

Automatic renewal
Once you add a payment card, your membership renews automatically every 12 months at $159 per year until you cancel.
Cancel any time from Manage plan in your account, or by emailing us. We will email you 30 to 60 days before each renewal to remind you that it is coming, what it costs and how to cancel. There is no cancellation fee.
The 30-day free trial asks for no card, so nothing renews and nothing is charged unless you decide to continue. Full terms.

Included, always
Every conversation, every recording, transcription, follow-up question, written chapter, edit, family-tree entry, family invitation, private share link, and as many PDF downloads of your book as you want. Building and downloading the book is part of the membership.
Costs extra
- A professionally printed and bound copy. If you want a real book in your hands rather than a PDF, you pay the printer’s cost, shipping, and a small service fee. You are never required to order one.
- Storage above 2 GB, at $20 per additional GB per year. Most memoirs never reach the included allowance; long videos are what use it up.
What happens at the end of the free trial
We email you seven days before it ends, the day before, and a week after - so nothing lapses without warning, and there is time to download what you have made. If you decide not to continue, your memoir and uploaded files are permanently deleted. We do not retain data for cancelled or expired accounts, and we do not hold your stories hostage to get you to renew.
Pricing questions
Is one membership enough for both my parents?
A membership covers one storyteller’s memoir. Two people telling their own life stories need two - their memoirs are separate books, with separate recordings and separate sharing. Family and friends who contribute memories or photographs to someone’s memoir do not need one.
Can I buy it for someone else?
Yes - that is how a great many memberships are bought. See the gift page.
What happens after the first year?
It renews annually, and you can cancel at any time from your account. A memoir is not a one-afternoon project, and the membership is what keeps your recordings, photographs and book available to you and your family.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. The 30-day trial asks for nothing but an email address. You will not be charged automatically at the end of it, because we do not have a card to charge.
Can I get my memoir out if I stop?
Yes. Download the PDF of your book and your uploaded photographs and documents at any time, including during the trial and during the notice period at the end of it. More on ownership and export.
